As a cooperative, PMT is owned by the people it serves. Each membership carries with it one share in ownership of the company and one vote in the democratic process that guides it. This March PMT members will be able to exercise their rights by casting their vote for one, three year Director position. In addition to voting, members are also invited and encouraged to attend the 2017 PMT Annual Meeting.

Meet the PMT 2017 Board of Directors Nominees
My name is Jason Gibbons and I am honored to say that I am a lifelong resident of Minidoka County. My wife, Sally, and I are proud parents of five children and love the opportunity of raising them in the Mini-Cassia area surrounded by so many of our family and friends, and the greatest people in the world. Following graduation from Idaho State University I was able to move back to my “home town,” and started my career as a Consumer Loan Officer at US Bank in Burley. A short time later, I had the very distinct pleasure of moving over to Project Mutual Telephone where I worked for the next eight years with some of the finest people that I still count as friends today. I then had the opportunity to go to work for Minidoka Memorial Hospital where I have been the Chief Financial Officer for the past 12 years, and have been able to see and experience the total transformation that has taken place during that time.
I love to be involved and serve in my community. I am currently the President of the Rupert Kiwanis Club, and have also served as President of the Burley Kiwanis Club in the past. I have been the Chairman of the Rupert 4th of July Celebration for the past 14 years, and have until recently been serving on the Minidoka School District Board of Directors for the past six years. I am also active in the Idaho Healthcare Financial Management Association serving at President-Elect during the coming year. I truly count my association with so many from our community as a great blessing and love the opportunity to serve in various ways.
It is truly amazing to me how many people ask me if I still work for PMT. Although I can’t say that I do, I love telling them how great of a company it is, and how much I enjoyed working there. It is truly a great company, not only for all the services that it provides that impact everything we do each and every day, but because of the people that work there! I am proud to say I used to be one of them, and would love the opportunity to once again be associated with them as a member of the Board of Directors.
I was born and raised in Jerome, Idaho. I attended Jerome High School and after graduation joined the Idaho National Guard, where I served for 29 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. I then went to work full time for the National Guard, moving to Rupert in 1968 to serve as the Shop Stewart over the building of the tank sight at Kimama, and building the new shop at the Minidoka County Fairgrounds. I worked for 14 years at the National Guard. I owned and operated Jack’s Gas and Service for 17 year in Paul. After which I spent the next 16 years working for Schow’s Auto Parts.
I like to be involved in the community. I’ve served as President for the Paul Area Chamber of Commerce. I’ve been an active member of the Rupert Elks for 31 years. I have also served as a Senior and Junior Warden for may years at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. It has been my distinct pleasure to serve on the PMT Board of Directors for the last three years and I look forward to continuing to serve with your vote of support.
Originally from eastern Idaho, I have lived in Burley with my family for thirty years. I graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in accounting information systems. Following graduation I worked in Boise and Twin Falls, and then landed an opportunity to take a position with a local CPA firm. Inasmuch as my wife and I were not from the area and had neither ties nor family in the community we committed to working and living here for two years. At the end of those two years the decision to stay was what they call a no brainer. We fell in love with the people and the area. It turned out to be a marvelous place to raise our two children and to establish deep roots. My wife, who is an educator at Burley Jr. High, and I are proud to call the Mini-Cassia area our home.
I am a currently a partner in the CPA firm Phillips Oakes Goodwin Crane & Co., PLLC. I started my career working here in a firm with five employees and our firm now has offices in both Burley and Rupert with seventeen employed. My professional career has allowed me to serve in various organizations such as the Cassia Health Care Foundation, the Mini-Cassia Commerce Authority, the Mini-Cassia Community Chest, American Cancer Society, and past president of the Burley Kiwanis Club. I have felt that it is an important aspect of my life to give back to the community that has given so much to me, my wife, and children.
I enjoy community service and believe my background as a financial advisor working with local businesses and my experience in working as a director on various boards will allow me to be a committed and useful director in serving the member-patrons and the employees of Project Mutual Telephone Company. I look forward to the opportunity in becoming more knowledgeable of the communications industry and the challenges faced by PMT in a fast moving industry.
